Pathology department is the largest pre-clinical department of the university. It has four subsections , namely Histopathology & cytopathology, Microbiology, Haematology and chemical pathology. The department is engaged in carrying on diagnostic tests for indoor and outdoor patients of Sir Gang Ram Hospital, Shadra Hospital, Mozang Hospital and sometimes other hospitals of the city. It also provides teaching facilities to 3rd and 4th year MBBS students, FCPS students of Histopathology, FCPS students of other specialities, M.Phil, MS and PhD students of different subjects. It also provides internships to different students of many colleges and universities of Lahore.
